Marcia graduated from Franklin Pierce High School in 1963 and later earned her Associate Degree from Highline College. Marcia married Dennis Kent on November 12, 1965, at a ceremony held at Pacific Lutheran University Chapel in Tacoma. They were married 56 years and enjoyed time together buying and selling antiques and collectibles and participating in vintage car clubs.

Marica is survived by her husband Dennis Kent; two daughters Kari Baerny (Todd) and Trina Cottingham (Evan); granddaughter, Natalie Hayes and step-grandchildren Orion, Olivia and Allison Baerny. Marcia is also survived by her two older sisters Kathie Bradley and Joan Lee, nephews Jon and Steven Lee; nieces Pamela Lee Frederick, Medea Lee and Michelle Hebert, several great nieces and nephews as well as great-great nephews. She, along with her husband Dennis, were members of the Model-T Ford Club, Buick Club, Steeds Car Club, and Golden Era Automobile Association. Marcia loved children and her Old English Sheepdogs (and one Goldendoodle); always had a thousand questions to ask and was ready to listen to people tell their stories. Those who knew her described her as a kind and welcoming person.
