I have a lot of fond memories with Don. We used to go up toClear Lake near Eatonville and rent a cabin with a bunch of other F.P. guys and drink and play poker all night. Don used to pal around with Gary Doyle,Gary Morton,Fred Jespersen ,Allan Mitchell and myself and there were more. He was pretty outgoing with us guys but when it came to girls, he was on the shy side. We became very good friends and when I had found the woman I wanted to marry I asked him to be my Best Man and he was. He was a chef at the Tacoma Elks Club for a while. His health was not so good because of his weight and other problems. He passed away too soon and I still miss him.
