Jean Mazzai

This is the obituary that was in the Tacoma News Tribune:

Jean Williams Mazzei Jean Margaret Williams was born on July 3, 1932 in Portland, Oregon to Kenneth and Josephine Williams, and died on January 9, 2016. She is survived by Sandy Mazzei, her husband of 53 years. Jeanie attended 28 schools from Ashland, Oregon to Washington State because her father was a civil engineer working on the construction of Highway 99. The family moved from town to town as sections of the highway were completed. She ended up in Aberdeen, where she graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1951 and was undefeated in tennis. She went to UPS and lived in the gymnasium until the new girls' dormitory was completed. She graduated in 1955 and taught history at Franklin Pierce High School for 25 years. She particularly liked teaching World Problems, because of her concern about current events, especially in the Middle East. Tennis was her major interest her whole life and she excelled in it. She belonged to the Tacoma Lawn Tennis Club and the Lakewood Racquet Club, and achieved many honors because of her skill and generous volunteering.
